Bryan's American World of Costume and Sculpture

Bronze bust of Buffalo Bill, William CodyIntroducing Bryan Mickleburgh, sculptor, costumer, supplier of and technical consultant on American costume and props. His first major bronze sculpture, a bust of Buffalo Bill, was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art in London in 1992. It is now located at the Roy Rogers Museum in California. Since then he has produced many other sculptures of famous film stars and historical figures, including Roy Rogers, Chief Dan George, Iron Eyes Cody, Sitting Bull and Barbara Windsor. His works have been shown on TV and exhibited at Harrods and in various museums in Europe and the USA.

A full size statue he produced of Buffalo Bill, after many years of research, was presented to the people of the USA. This was the first to be presented since the Statue of Liberty in 1883. It is currently in Cody Park, North Platte, Nebraska. Lloyds of London have since valued this bronze statue at $429,325.

Bryan has been a technical advisor and supplier of authentic American costumes to TV and the film industry for 30 years. As an expert on Native American and other dress from the 'Wild West' era, he has made costumes and sculptures for the famous Madame Tussauds. In order to devote more time to his sculpture, Bryan is giving up his costume business and selling his large collection of costumes. He will still be available for paid consultation and advice on all aspects of Native American and 'Wild West' clothing and costumes.
